ALGIERS- The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, Brahim Merad, paid a working visit to the capital Algiers. He met with the executive officials of the capital at the headquarters of the wilaya. The meeting, extended to members of the two chambers of Parliament, was devoted to the presentation on the city’s development strategy and the rehabilitation of old buildings.
The minister was informed about the progress of four projects, structuring the master plan for urban planning in Algiers. This is the restoration and renovation plan for old buildings; the plan for the movement of people and vehicles; the yellow scheme for the movement of people and transport, the green plan relating to ecology and the environment and finally the waterfront development plan.
