ALGIERS- Iranian President Ebrahim Raïssi is slated to attend the forthcoming Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit in Algeria.
On Saturday, Iranian Vice Minister of Petroleum and International Trade, Ahmad Asadzadeh, revealed that President Raïssi would lead a distinguished delegation to the summit.
During the forum, scheduled from February 29th to March 2nd in Algiers, President Raïssi is anticipated to deliver an address articulating Iran’s stance on GECF policies. He is also poised to advocate for enhanced collaboration among member nations in various sectors, including the natural gas industry, energy security, and investments.
Asadzadeh stressed that the summit would offer a platform for constructive discourse, enabling members to exchange perspectives on the energy sector and its future trajectories.
President Raïssi’s visit presents an occasion for Algeria and Iran to examine avenues for fortifying and broadening bilateral relations across diverse areas of cooperation.
Meanwhile, Algerian President Abdelmadjdi Tebboune is anticipated to embark on a state visit to Tehran “as soon as his schedule permits.”
