Italian-Arab Friendship: Algerian ambassador to Italy honoured in Rome

ALGIERS– Algeria’s ambassador to Italy, Abdelkrim Touahria, has been honoured in Rome by the Italian-Arab Friendship Association, in recognition of the positive role of Algerian diplomacy on the regional and international stage.
In addition to the positive role of Algerian diplomacy, this distinction comes in view of the unprecedented development of Algerian-Italian cooperation and partnership relations during the last period.
The distinction took place during a ceremony organized at the headquarters of the Foreign Press Association, in the presence of representatives of the Arab diplomatic corps and several foreign journalists accredited in Italy.
Through the words of thanks, he pronounced on this occasion, Abdelkrim Touahria recalled the principles and foundations of Algeria’s foreign policy and its honorable positions towards just causes, emphasizing the important role it plays, currently in the Mediterranean and African regions, particularly in the peaceful resolution of crises and its privileged relations with Italy in all areas.
The Algerian diplomat did not fail to answer the questions of some journalists concerning the files of cooperation with Italy, in particular in the economic sector, as well as on the positions of Algeria vis-à-vis certain regional and international questions.
It should be noted that the Italo-Arab Friendship Association “Assadakah” was created in 1994 by decision of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Italy, with the aim of strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and bringing points of view closer, through media and cultural activities.
