Italy: Algeria opens consulate general in Naples

ALGIERS – Algeria opens a new diplomatic representation in Italy. A presidential decree published in the Official Gazette n°27 announces the opening of a general consulate of Algeria in the city of Naples, in the south of Italy.

“A Consulate General of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria is open in Naples (Italian Republic)”, indicated the decree signed by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

“The consular district of this post extends to the following departments: Campania, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily”, specified the text.

A second presidential decree signed by President Tebboune and published in the same Official Gazette concerns the delimitation of the consular district of the Algerian embassy in Rome, the Italian capital.

According to the text, the territorial jurisdiction of the consular district of the Algerian Embassy in Rome is exercised over the regions of: Lazio, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo and Sardinia.
