The signatories, represented by the Algerian Ministry of Justice, led by Minister Abderrachid Tabi, and the Russian Federation’s Prosecutor General’s Office, headed by Prosecutor General Valerian Shuvaev, expressed their commitment to laying the foundations for a substantial and bilateral partnership.
In his address on this occasion, Minister Tabi explained that the protocol encompasses various aspects, including the exchange of information and experiences in preventing and combating serious forms of crime. This notably includes transnational organized crime, money laundering, corruption, and cybercrimes.
The minister highlighted that specific clauses in the protocol address issues such as the illegal use of cryptocurrencies, combating crypto-assets, human trafficking, organ trafficking, environmental crimes, illegal fund transfers abroad, and cooperation for the restitution of misappropriated funds.
