ALGIERS- The Algerian Embassy in Syria welcomes the return of Kamel Bouchama as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Syrian Arab Republic. The Syrian government has granted its approval for this appointment, as confirmed by a statement from the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

Kamel Bouchama is a distinguished member of the presidential third in the Senate since March 2022. He has previously served as the Algerian ambassador to Syria in 2001, and as the Minister of Youth and Sports from 1984 to 1988. Additionally, he is the author of a book titled ““Emir Abdelkader and his family. The ultimate stage in the Levant””, published by ENAG editions.
