Speaking at the Algeria-China Business Forum, the President of CREA highlights Algeria’s strategic location, improved business climate, and the imperative of Sino-Algerian industrial partnerships to meet global economic challenges
Algiers, Algeria | April 15th, 2025 — At the Algeria-China Business Forum held Tuesday at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center (CIC) in Algiers, Kamel Moula, President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), emphatically stated that Algeria’s substantial investment potential opens “vast horizons for industrial cooperation” between Algerian and Chinese economic operators.
Delivering a keynote address before a distinguished assembly of business leaders, Moula underscored Algeria’s unique geostrategic position at the crossroads of Africa and Europe. He affirmed, “Our country holds significant investment capacities that pave the way for deep and wide-ranging industrial cooperation, particularly aimed at accessing external markets.”
He further stressed the dynamism of the Algerian investment landscape, pointing to the “concrete and continuous” improvement in the national business climate. This positive trajectory, he explained, is the direct result of the country’s strong political will, far-reaching structural reforms, and the government’s action plan, which has eliminated many of the bureaucratic and financial barriers that had previously hampered business development.
“Thanks to these reforms, Algeria now offers a far more agile and attractive environment for foreign and domestic investors,” Moula stated, addressing Chinese economic stakeholders. “You have shown the world the power of industrial development through your extraordinary export capacities. Now is the moment to unify efforts, channel investments, and share expertise so our two economies can jointly confront global strategic challenges.”
Moula emphasized that Algeria’s current economic ecosystem allows for a significant increase in non-hydrocarbon exports—an endeavor he characterized not as a slogan, but as a strategic national imperative.
He also highlighted the pivotal role of the Algeria-China Business Forum in identifying high-potential sectors and creating actionable avenues for partnership. He described the forum as a platform for strengthening bilateral ties and fostering mutually beneficial synergies between Algerian and Chinese entrepreneurs.
“The B2B meetings organized on the sidelines of this forum will serve as a decisive space for dialogue, the exchange of expertise, and the consolidation of effective, long-term industrial partnerships,” he concluded.
