Kazakhstani Ambassador Pledges to Deepen Bilateral Ties During Credential Ceremony in Algeria

Algiers, Algeria | December 24th, 2024 — In a formal ceremony held at the El Mouradia Palace in Algiers, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria officially received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Anuarbek Akhmetov. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in Kazakhstan-Algeria relations, underscoring mutual aspirations for enhanced collaboration.

President Tebboune extended his gratitude to Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the strategic decision to establish an embassy in Algeria, a move that signals the growing importance of bilateral ties. He conveyed his warmest regards and well-wishes to President Tokayev, highlighting Algeria’s commitment to fostering deeper political, economic, and cultural partnerships.

In his address, President Tebboune emphasized Algeria’s keen interest in elevating political dialogue at the highest levels, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and advancing joint humanitarian initiatives. The President reaffirmed Algeria’s readiness to provide all necessary support to promote bilateral relations and ensure their development across diverse fields.

Ambassador Anuarbek Akhmetov expressed Kazakhstan’s firm commitment to strengthening ties with Algeria, delivering a message of goodwill from President Tokayev. He underscored Kazakhstan’s interest in facilitating mutual high-level visits and intensifying cooperation in areas of shared interest, ranging from economic ventures to cultural exchanges.

“Building on our historic ties, Kazakhstan is eager to explore new opportunities for collaboration with Algeria,” stated Ambassador Akhmetov. “We stand ready to engage in mutual efforts to enhance trade, foster innovation, and deepen our shared commitment to global and regional stability.”

President Tebboune concluded the ceremony by wishing Ambassador Akhmetov success in his mission, urging him to engage with members of the Algerian government and utilize Algeria’s readiness to support Kazakhstan-Algeria cooperation.
