ALGIERS- “The new industrial zone of Arbatash is estimated at 98% of the progress of the works. The supply of electricity and gas to the industrial zone is taken care of by the Sonelgaz company, the connection operations being included in the finance law for the year 2023, and the construction of the road network inside the industrial zone is linked to the realization of various other networks,” announced, Thursday, the Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, during a plenary session at the People’s National Assembly (APN).
The new industrial zone of Tamazugha was entrusted to the wali of Ain Timouchent, responsible for carrying out its development work. As for the infrastructures and the various networks, the services of the wilaya will take charge of this equipment in coordination with the investors.
The minister underlined that the industrial land settlement file will be the priority of the sector at the current stage, in coordination with the local authorities, to make it available to economic operators, allowing real support for investors to strengthen their role in the local fabric and national economy.
He added that the commercial public sector will be revived, particularly with regard to the steel industry, by reviewing its modes of governance and working on the establishment of new factories equipped with the latest facilities.
The Minister indicated that the company representing the Swedish brands Volvo and French Renault Trucks has submitted an application for approval.
“The company has submitted an application for approval at the level of the services of our ministry for examination in order to obtain approval for the assembly of trucks in Meftah in the wilaya of Blida”, specified the minister.
