Latest Operational Report: Algerian People’s National Army Achieves Significant Success in Security Operations

Algiers, January 24, 2024 – The Algerian Ministry of National Defense (MDN) released a statement today announcing significant achievements by the Algerian People’s National Army (ANP) in ongoing security operations. The operations took place between January 17 and January 23 and resulted in the successful arrest of three terrorists and the seizure of two machine guns.
During the same period, ANP units conducted operations against drug trafficking, leading to the arrest of 86 individuals involved in narcotics-related activities. The security forces also confiscated 94 kg of processed cannabis (kif) and 96,041 psychotropic tablets.
The MDN emphasized the ANP’s continuous efforts to maintain national security and combat various threats, including terrorism and drug trafficking, contributing to the overall safety and well-being of the Algerian population.
