ALGIERS- In a significant development, the leadership of the National Agency of Publishing and Advertising (ANEP) has witnessed a change. Sihem Derardja, the former President and CEO, has been relieved of her duties, with Messaoud Alghem stepping in as the new head.
The decision was made during an extraordinary general assembly of the ANEP, convened on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the Ministry of Communication headquarters. Chaired by Minister Mohamed Laagab, the assembly was attended by members of the company’s board of directors and the auditor, as stated in a ministry press release.
Following a thorough examination and evaluation of the company’s situation, the decision was made to terminate Sihem Derardja’s tenure as the head of the agency. Subsequently, the general assembly approved the appointment of Messaoud Alghem as the new President and CEO of ANEP.
It is worth noting that Ms. Siham Derardja had been serving as the CEO of ANEP since October 4, 2021, succeeding Adel Kansous.
Messaoud Alghem, the newly appointed CEO of ANEP, previously held the position of Deputy General Manager at the state-owned Algerian Television (EPTV).
