USM Alger has provisionally taken second place in the general classification of the Algerian Football League 1, after its victory against NA Hussein Dey (1-0), in the Algiers derby on Friday, on behalf of the 18th day, cut by three games and marked by the draw conceded by Paradou to Chlef (0-0).
USMA won thanks to a penalty, converted by their adventurer Aymen Mahious in the 25th minute of play, while the many other attempts were in vain.
The happiness of the Red and black contrasts with the disappointment of Paradou AC, which slipped to fourth place, after settling for a goalless draw at the poorly ranked ASO Chlef (0-0).
In the general classification, the Hydra club is tied with the JSS, with 32 points for each club, except that the Becharian formation has one game less.
For its part, and after its semi-failure at home, ASO Chlef remains in the second part of the table, but is now seven points ahead of NAHD, the first relegation club.
