ALGIERS- In a significant move to strengthen local governance, the President of the Republic has issued a presidential decree promoting seven districts “Dairas” to the status of delegated provinces. The Dairas affected by this decision include Aflou in the Laghouat province, Barika in Batna, Kasr Chellala in Tiaret, Ain-Oussera and Messad in Djelfa, Labiod Sidi Cheikh in El-Bayadh, and Bousaada in Msila.
Following consultation with the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Regional Planning, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, appointed Wali Delegates to lead these newly established administrative entities. The appointed Wali Delegates for the respective provinces are Ben Merah Younes, Boudahab Essaid, Daoudi Toufik, Allouache Boualem, Daoudi Adel, Mouden Benabdrabi, and BenAhmed Riad. This strategic move aims to enhance local administration and improve governance in these regions.
