Madar Holding creates Tafadis company specializing in refining, production and marketing of sugar

ALGIERS– The Madar Holding group has created the sugar company TAFADIS, specializing in the refining, production and marketing of sugar.
The joint-stock company Tafadis took effect on Sunday, March 12 at the end of a Constitutive General Assembly, in which the CEO of the group Charef Eddine Amara and members of the Board of Directors took part.
Mr. Amara clarified that the name chosen for the new subsidiary is not fortuitous. It comes from the word “afdhess” which means to crush, grind, pulverize…. using a hammer.
The startup capital of the new company is 10 billion dinars and its headquarters is located in Larbaatache, in the province of Boumerdes. 1,200 employees have already been recruited. Ahmed Dai has been appointed Managing Director of Tafadis and Chairman of its Board of Directors.
