ALGIERS- The Minister of the Interior, Local Assemblies, and Regional Planning, Brahim Merad, begins this Sunday a working visit to the wilaya of Chlef to oversee the launch of the awareness campaign on prevention against major risks and take stock of the civil protection strategy in this area.
During this visit, the Minister will also review the establishment of a regional exercise for support teams and the first intervention of civil protection.
During these exercises, the Minister of the Interior, accompanied by the Director General and the Colonel of Civil Protection, Colonel Bourrelaf Boualem, will supervise all DRPI units involved in these maneuvers and hold working sessions with the managers of each DRPI. In this vein, the Minister will evaluate the application of the action program initiated for the development and modernization of the sector, particularly in the field of training and qualification of human resources with regard to the management of major risks.
The wilaya of Chlef welcomes, according to the civil protection, “the reinforcement detachments of the civil protection of the wilayas of Mostaganem, Tipaza, Algiers, Ain Defla, Blida, and Chlef, with a total of 516 agents of all ranks.
The technical supervision of this group will be provided by teams of civil protection trainers specializing in the management of major disasters.
