ALGIERS- The controversy over Algerian dates has obviously become a tradition in Morocco before the advent of the month of Ramadan!”
The Moroccan Sheikh Mohamed El Fizazi has issued a Fatwa prohibiting the consumption of Algerian dates. According to him, Algerian dates are not suitable for consumption during the month of Ramadan, because they would carry parasites and diseases. He said: “If I find Zionist dates on the Moroccan market, I would consume them instead of the Algerian dates.”
And to add: “I prefer the dates of Netanyahou rather than eating Chanegriha’s dates.”
El Fizazi’s statements provoked the indignation of many Algerians who denounced his remarks.
Obviously, the Makhzen is ready to corrupt Moroccan clerics to support their strategy against Algeria.
