ALGIERS-The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab chaired, Sunday, the installation ceremony of Mourad Hanifi as President of the National Agency for Mining Activities (ANAM), said the Ministry in a communiqué.
The installation ceremony took place at ANAM headquarters in the presence of the CEO of the mining industrial group Manadjim El Djazaïr (Manal) and executives from the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Agency, specified the same source.
Mr. Hanifi has held many positions, including State Engineer in Mining Geology at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Director of Mining Surveys, Secretary General of the National Agency for Mining Heritage, Acting Secretary General at the Ministry of Energy, and Director General of Mines at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, the statement added.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister highlighted “Mr. Hanifi’s dedication in the exercise of his functions throughout his professional career which testifies to his seriousness and competence”, according to the same source.
Mr. Arkab also praised the achievements of Mr. Smail El-Djouzi, the acting president of ANAM, as well as his “dedication and great efforts deployed in exercising his functions”.
