ALGIERS- The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Ali Aoun, stated in Algiers that the surge in iron and steel prices is attributed to poor distribution, emphasizing that all necessary measures have been implemented to address this situation.
During a plenary session at the Council of the Nation, focused on oral questions, the minister explained that there will be a greater diversification of steel products in Algeria from the second half of the current year, thanks to the expansion projects of the Tosyali and Bellara complexes.
Additionally, the minister confirmed the existence of industrial zones in the Medea province, which has undergone four rehabilitation operations totaling 351.21 million DZD to enhance industrial capabilities.
