ALGIERS- Algeria’s Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Mr. Ali Aoun, inaugurated Saidal’s first bioequivalence center in Algiers on Sunday. During the ceremony, Minister Aoun emphasized that this new facility would ensure advanced technological processes for quality control in pharmaceuticals.
According to Minister Aoun, this bioequivalence center is the first of its kind in Africa and the second in the Arab world, following the one established in Jordan. The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Saidal’s commitment to enhancing pharmaceutical research and development capabilities in the region.
Minister Aoun further highlighted Saidal’s recent achievements, noting that the pharmaceutical group has increased its production capacity by nearly 35% within six months. He expressed confidence in Saidal’s human and material resources, affirming the group’s readiness to continue this positive trajectory.
In a strategic move, Minister Aoun announced that Saidal is set to commence the production of medications for chronic diseases in 2024. This expansion aligns with the broader goal of contributing to healthcare solutions for enduring medical conditions and underscores Saidal’s dedication to meeting the evolving pharmaceutical needs of the Algerian population.
The inauguration of Saidal’s bioequivalence center signals a major step forward in Algeria’s pharmaceutical sector, fostering advancements in research, quality assurance, and production capabilities. As the group continues to prioritize innovation and technology, it positions itself as a key player in the regional pharmaceutical landscape.
