Minister Aoun Urges Completion of Djelfa Cement Plant in Line with Presidential Instructions

ALGIERS- Minister of Industry, Mr. Ali Aoun, continued his series of working and inspection visits in Djelfa province, focusing on the Ain el Bell cement plant.

During his visit, Minister Aoun emphasized the importance of completing the necessary work for the operationalization of this significant cement plant, aligning with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The Ain el Bell cement plant holds strategic importance for Algeria’s industrial sector, and its successful operation aligns with the national agenda for economic development and self-sufficiency in key industries.

Minister Aoun underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of essential infrastructure projects like the cement plant, which plays a vital role in driving local economic growth, creating job opportunities, and enhancing Algeria’s industrial capacity.

The visit to the Djelfa province cement plant provided Minister Aoun with firsthand insights into the progress made, as well as the challenges faced in bringing the facility online. It also served as an opportunity to engage with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and local authorities, to address any bottlenecks and expedite the completion process.

President Tebboune’s instructions regarding the Ain el Bell cement plant highlight the government’s unwavering dedication to promoting industrial development and maximizing the nation’s industrial potential. By prioritizing the completion of key projects like this cement plant, Algeria aims to bolster its economic resilience and reduce dependency on imports in critical sectors.
