ALGIERS- In a proactive move to assess and propel energy initiatives, Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, is embarking on a two-day working visit to the southern provinces of Ghardaïa, Laghouat, and El Menia.
Accompanied by ministry executives and the CEOs of Sonatrach and Sonelgaz, Minister Arkab’s visit aims to scrutinize and inaugurate various energy installations, placing a significant emphasis on gas projects and power plants.
During the tour, Minister Arkab will pay special attention to projects related to natural gas and electricity connections, with a focus on those directly impacting local communities and agricultural investments. This aligns with the government’s commitment to expanding energy access and ensuring sustainable development.
An integral part of the inspection involves a thorough review of mining activities in these provinces, highlighting the government’s holistic approach to the energy and mining sectors.
The visit underscores Algeria’s commitment to advancing its energy infrastructure, promoting regional development, and ensuring the efficient utilization of its natural resources.
