Minister Attaf Engages in Productive Discussion with Dutch Counterpart

ALGIERS- During his participation in the high-level session of the Security Council, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, held a meeting today with his Dutch counterpart, Mrs. Hanke Bruins Slot, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The purpose of their discussion was to address the current situation in the Palestinian territories, particularly the Gaza Strip, and emphasize the crucial role entrusted to the United Nations in halting the escalation and tackling the underlying causes of the conflict through adherence to internationally recognized resolutions.

In addition to the pressing matters at hand, the two parties also explored the prospects of strengthening bilateral relations between their respective countries and discussed future collaborative opportunities. Notably, Minister Hanke Bruins Slot expressed her intention to visit Algeria in the near future, further underscoring the commitment to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.

This meeting served as a platform for constructive dialogue, enabling both ministers to exchange valuable insights and perspectives. By engaging in such discussions, they demonstrated their shared dedication to promoting peace, stability, and adherence to international norms.
