Minister Attaf Joins Arab League Council’s Emergency Meeting on Palestine

Cairo, Egypt – October 11, 2023: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, is set to participate in a crucial meeting in Cairo today. He has embarked on a mission to participate in the emergency ministerial meeting of the Arab League Council on Palestine.

This meeting, convened at the request of the State of Palestine, seeks to address the deteriorating situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and respond to Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip. Algeria, along with several sisterly Arab nations, strongly supports this urgent initiative.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement confirming Minister Attaf’s departure for Cairo, emphasizing the gravity of the situation and the crucial role Algeria plays in promoting peace and stability in the region.

The emergency meeting of the Arab League Council is a direct response to the escalating crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories. The situation has reached a critical juncture with the recent aggression against the Gaza Strip. The State of Palestine’s appeal for support in addressing this crisis has resonated with Algeria and a number of other Arab nations, resulting in this emergency gathering.
