Algiers, April 8, 2024 – Minister of Housing, Mr. Tarek Belaribi, chaired a meeting in Algiers on Monday, convening officials from his ministry and the Algerian Agency for Housing Development (AADL). The primary agenda of the gathering, as outlined in a statement from the ministry, was to prioritize the completion of all ongoing operations and projects under the AADL 2 program.
During the meeting, Minister Belaribi underscored the importance of expediting the remaining tasks associated with the AADL 2 program. According to official figures shared during the session, the program has garnered a total of 561,688 subscribers. Of these, 27,112 subscribers are set to receive allocation certificates in the coming days across 27 provinces of the country.
“In line with these objectives, the minister emphasized the need for swift completion of this operation, while also stressing the acceleration of work pace on certain projects that have experienced delays. This is vital to facilitate the transition to the AADL 3 program,” the statement elaborated.
Minister Belaribi’s directives reflect the government’s commitment to fulfilling its housing obligations and meeting the expectations of citizens who have subscribed to the AADL 2 program. The push to finalize pending projects and allocate units is seen as a crucial step towards clearing the path for the next phase of housing initiatives.
