During his address at the event, organized by Algeria Press Service “Algérie Presse Service” (APS) as part of its annual Brahim Dahmani survey, Meziane expressed pride in the seamless collaboration between the media and the sports community. He highlighted how continuous media coverage contributes to motivating athletes and elevating sports to its rightful place in the cultural and social fabric of Algeria.
“We are proud of our national media for their steadfast support of Algerian athletes. Their comprehensive coverage plays a pivotal role in galvanizing our sportsmen and sportswomen while underscoring the noble values that sport represents,” stated the minister. Meziane further praised the event as a platform uniting the media sector with the sports fraternity, fostering a shared vision to nurture talent and celebrate athletic achievements across various disciplines.

Meziane lauded the APS for its professional evolution and its efforts to amplify Algeria’s voice on the global stage. He specifically commended the agency’s multilingual expansion strategy, which positions it as both a national leader and an international influencer in the ever-evolving media landscape.
The minister also extended heartfelt congratulations to the award recipients, recognizing their outstanding accomplishments in securing Olympic medals and clinching world and regional titles. “These champions embody the aspirations and determination of our nation,” Meziane said, reinforcing the importance of recognizing and celebrating their success.

Reflecting on the legacy of the Brahim Dahmani Awards, APS Director General Samir Gaïd reaffirmed the agency’s dedication to preserving the vision of the award’s founders.
