ALGIERS- This Tuesday morning, Minister of Communication, Mohamed Laagab, arrived at the Moulay Messaoud International Airport in Tlemcen to celebrate World Radio Day, which falls on February 13th every year.
According to a statement from the province, the minister was received by the Wali of Tlemcen, Youcef Bechlaoui, along with the President of the Provincial People’s Council.
World Radio Day is an annual event that celebrates the importance of radio as a medium for promoting dialogue, tolerance, and peace. It provides an opportunity to highlight the unique power of radio to reach diverse audiences and foster communication in communities around the world.
Minister Laagab’s presence in Tlemcen underscores the significance of radio broadcasting in Algeria and reaffirms the government’s commitment to supporting the radio industry’s growth and development.
The celebration of World Radio Day in Tlemcen is expected to include various activities and events aimed at showcasing the vital role of radio in informing, educating, and entertaining audiences across the country.
