The project aligns with the national strategy to bolster tourism and urban resilience in key districts of the capital.

New Chéraga Tunnel to Ease Traffic Congestion

In another significant infrastructure milestone, Minister Rekhroukh gave the green light for the construction of a crucial underground tunnel along National Road No. 41 in Chéraga. The tunnel is expected to significantly alleviate traffic congestion in one of Algiers’ busiest corridors, enhancing daily commutes and facilitating smoother transit between key districts.
