Algiers, Algeria | December 5th, 2024 — Mustafa Hidaoui, Minister of Youth and Chairman of the High Council for Youth, chaired a preparatory meeting in Algiers for the upcoming Winter National Event 2024, which will be held under the theme “Youth in Motion.” The meeting was attended by directors of youth and sports from the relevant regions, as well as key ministry officials.
According to the Ministry of Youth’s statement, the event will feature 14 central activities spread across 14 provinces, representing all four corners of the country. The primary aim of this event is to harness the winter season to boost youth participation in social, cultural, and sporting activities. These activities are designed to align with the aspirations of young people and contribute to achieving the broader goals of Algeria’s national development strategy.
Minister Hidaoui emphasized the importance of collective efforts to ensure the success of the initiative and instructed that the activities be redesigned to better align with the sector’s long-term vision. He stressed that the Winter National Event 2024 presents a key opportunity to inspire the youth to contribute to building a shared and prosperous future, one that reflects national unity and strengthens common values.
The statement also highlighted that the Ministry of Youth aims to make each season a platform for engaging youth in developmental pathways, ensuring effective communication and ideal guidance to foster a strong and advanced Algeria.
