Ministerial Delegation Takes Comprehensive Look at Progress in Haouch Errih Urban Center Project

Blida, Algeria – September 24, 2023- A significant ministerial delegation comprising key government officials conducted an extensive inspection and working visit on Sunday to assess the progress of the ambitious Haouch Errih urban center construction project in Meftah, located in the Blida province. The delegation, led by Mr. Tarek Belaribi, the Minister of Housing, included Mr. Mohamed Arkab, the Minister of Energy, Mr. Karim Bibi Triki, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, and Mr. Taha Debal, the Minister of Water Resources. During the visit, they meticulously examined the ongoing construction work, particularly focusing on housing and exterior infrastructure.
Addressing the media during a press briefing, Minister Belaribi emphasized the government’s commitment to the successful completion of this urban development endeavor. He disclosed that a substantial budget exceeding 50 billion Algerian dinars had been allocated for the realization of various exterior development projects within the Haouch Errih urban center.
“These development projects have been a long time in the making, but I can confidently state that we are nearing their completion. Our efforts have primarily concentrated on reinforcement work and the establishment of soil stabilization systems, alongside various exterior development works (VRD),” Mr. Belaribi declared.
Furthermore, he reassured the public that approximately 6,500 housing units would be made available for allocation once construction work concludes. This announcement comes as a significant development for residents eagerly awaiting their new homes.
In addition to housing, Minister Belaribi unveiled plans for the construction of 14 essential public facilities within the Haouch Errih urban center, including a polyclinic and a post office. Moreover, he announced the allocation of premises for the headquarters of the Algerian Water Distribution Company (ADE) and the National Electricity and Gas Company (Sonelgaz) within the integrated hub. The urban center will also see the installation of numerous Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) to enhance residents’ access to banking services.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to modernization, Mr. Belaribi emphasized the installation of state-of-the-art equipment to provide high-speed internet access to residents via optical fiber connections. This move underscores the government’s vision to create a modern, connected, and sustainable urban center.
