ALGIERS- November 20, 2023- In a ceremony held on Monday, Minister of Communication Mohamed Laagab formally appointed Mokhtar Khaldi as the new Secretary-General of the ministry, succeeding Ms. Fouzia Bouhmidi. The installation took place in the presence of sector executives and media directors under the ministry’s jurisdiction.
During the ceremony, Minister Laagab acknowledged “the efforts made by the former Secretary-General during her tenure,” praising the “competence and professional career” of the newly appointed Secretary-General.
Expressing gratitude, Mr. Khaldi extended his thanks to the country’s high authorities and the Minister of Communication for the trust placed in him. He affirmed his commitment to spare no effort in contributing the expected value to the sector.
Mr. Khaldi brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having held various positions, including a role in the cabinet of the Ministry of Culture and Communication. His professional journey includes serving as the director of culture in the wilayas of Boumerdes, Jijel, and Algiers. Additionally, he has previously served as the CEO of the National Company of Graphic Arts.
