ALGIERS- El-Hadi Ould Ali, former Minister of Youth and Sports, has been appointed as the new President of the Board of Directors of JSK.

Approached by Mobilis a few days ago, Ould Ali has agreed to take over the leadership of the club. He succeeds Achour Cheloul, who announced his withdrawal yesterday, freely transferring his shares to Mobilis. As a long-time supporter of the club, Ould Ali now officially leads the most decorated club in the country.

His appointment heralds a new era for JS Kabylie, with the aim of establishing the club as a powerhouse both domestically and on the continental stage. The choice of Mobilis for his role is strategic. With extensive management experience, Ould Ali’s primary objective is to restore JSK to its former glory, which has declined in recent years. The new president will collaborate with other board members, including Redouane Bouayed, Samir Djaballah, Samir Oukil, and Adel Boudedja. He will also closely work with Hakim Medane, appointed as the club’s general manager. A former player and iconic captain of the Canaris, Medane holds significant authority, especially in technical matters. With vast experience in various clubs, including JSK and JSM Béjaïa, as well as with the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Medane commands immense respect among JSK supporters.

Mobilis officials have high expectations for him, anticipating his ability to utilize his experience to help JSK reclaim its dominant position both nationally and internationally. Also a club supporter and former player turned executive, Medane is committed to doing everything possible to contribute to JSK’s resurgence. He will spare no effort to build a competitive team capable of securing titles in the upcoming seasons.

To meet expectations, the shareholders of SSPA JSK, including the amateur sports club (CSA JSK), represented by its president Djaâfar Aït Mouloud, have transferred their shares to Mobilis, now the sole shareholder. This decision was made to prevent the dissolution of the company, which was on the brink of consuming two-thirds of its share capital. With JSK’s debts exceeding 300 billion centimes, Mobilis, with its ambitious club project, decided to buy out all shareholders before initiating its investment.

The extraordinary general assembly, which commenced at 10 a.m., ratified the share transfer after addressing concerns raised about the 2022 balance sheet. Mobilis already held 77% of the shares in SSPA JSK before this extraordinary assembly and is now the sole shareholder. Some absent shareholders will also need to transfer their shares in the coming days. This decision aligns with supporters’ demands, who called for the departure of all shareholders, blaming them for the club’s dire financial situation. Djaâfar Aït Mouloud, the president of the amateur sports club, announced at the end of the extraordinary general assembly that he had transferred the CSA shares to Mobilis. This move aims to provide Mobilis with greater decision-making flexibility to ensure the club’s proper functioning. In his remarks, Achour Cheloul, the outgoing president, stated that he had voluntarily transferred his shares to Mobilis to prevent the club’s dissolution. He also tendered his resignation, acknowledging that he no longer had the confidence of the new Mobilis officials, who chose to replace him with El-Hadi Ould Ali. Cheloul expressed his pride in having served the club during challenging times and expressed confidence in Mobilis’s ability to continue JSK’s recovery.
