Mohammed Doumir Advocates for Authentic Digital Content, Protection of Algeria’s Heritage at Historical Forum

In an interview with Dzair Tube, Doumir, an Algerian history content creator and veterinarian who directs Vetosis for veterinary research and innovation at Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP), where he has developed the “Camel Racing Diagnostic Boots” to diagnose limping in racing camels,  elaborated on the forum’s collaborative and participatory ethos, portraying it as a critical platform for advancing content creation. He emphasized that impactful and reliable content must adhere to rigorous standards of scientific and historical accuracy, while also ensuring professional presentation in both auditory and visual elements. Doumir pointed out the importance of maintaining credibility amidst systematic, malicious campaigns designed to suppress dissenting voices critical of Algerian adversaries. He cited the increasing frequency of deleted tweets and social media posts as evidence of these coordinated efforts to silence opposing viewpoints.

Doumir further articulated the need for unity among content creators, asserting that while individual contributions are valuable, synchronized collective action is more effective, particularly on issues related to national identity, memory, and heritage. He drew attention to the persistent, targeted assaults on Algeria’s historical symbols, borders, and ancestral valor, underscoring the necessity for a concerted response from the youth and digital content creators to these attacks.

Moreover, Doumir voiced a strong commitment to preserving Algeria’s history and culture against attempts at historical distortion and cultural appropriation. He asserted that the contemporary digital era necessitates a renewed dedication to safeguarding Algeria’s narrative from those who seek to undermine or appropriate it. Doumir remarked, “We, the youth of today, must renew the commitment our predecessors made to ensure Algeria remains a thriving, advancing, and secure nation. We must not allow anyone to encroach upon our history, identity, or culture.”

In conclusion, Doumir reaffirmed the forum’s mission to protect Algeria’s historical and cultural legacy from misappropriation or distortion.
