Algiers, Algeria | January 20th, 2025 — A damning revelation has emerged, further implicating the Moroccan regime in a series of heinous violations against the oppressed Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples. Renowned Moroccan political and human rights activist, Mohamed Kandil, has unveiled evidence of Morocco’s deep complicity in the systematic suppression of Sahrawis and its role in the Zionist entity’s genocidal war against Palestinians, particularly in Gaza.
Kandil, in a compelling post on his social media platform, laid bare the scale of the atrocities committed against Sahrawi civilians, activists, and political prisoners under Moroccan occupation. He denounced the use of arbitrary arrests, torture, and the suppression of freedom of expression and assembly, as corroborated by multiple international human rights organizations. “The violations escalate daily,” Kandil stated, “fueled by the deafening silence of the international community.”
The activist further highlighted Morocco’s systematic marginalization of the Sahrawi people, including racial discrimination in employment, education, and access to essential services. He pointed to Morocco’s persistent refusal to grant the Sahrawis their internationally recognized right to self-determination. “This right,” Kandil emphasized, “is enshrined in international law, yet Morocco continues to trample on it with impunity.”
Kandil also shed light on the regime’s draconian control over public discourse on Western Sahara. “The question of Western Sahara is a taboo subject within Morocco,” he said. “While some blindly align with the regime’s narrative out of fear or ignorance, a growing number are courageously challenging the status quo, advocating for a legal and just resolution to the conflict.”
In a chilling indictment of Morocco’s foreign policies, Kandil accused the regime of directly aiding the Zionist entity in its genocidal onslaught on Gaza. He revealed that the Moroccan authorities facilitated the docking of weapon-laden ships at Tangier Med Port, intended for the massacre of Palestinians. Moreover, he detailed the deployment of over 4,000 Moroccan military personnel, including intelligence operatives, to support the Zionist war machine.
Kandil further exposed Morocco’s export of white phosphorus to Zionist arms manufacturers, including one reportedly based within Morocco, alongside authorizations for 25 Moroccan companies to market over 100 products to the Zionist entity during its brutal campaign against Gaza. These revelations, he noted, underscore Morocco’s hypocrisy in claiming to support the Palestinian cause while being a partner in its destruction.
The activist’s scathing criticism extended to Morocco’s media and security apparatus, which he accused of waging smear campaigns against those who dare to demand justice. “These campaigns,” he declared, “are orchestrated by morally bankrupt entities, armed only with slander, insults, and defamation as their tools of oppression.”
Kandil concluded his post with an unflinching condemnation of Morocco and its Zionist allies, declaring: “You talk of peace while your hands are stained with the blood of the innocent. You are partners in genocide and collective slaughter, unworthy of speaking in the name of humanity.”
This explosive exposé by Mohamed Kandil further solidifies the growing consensus that Morocco’s regime has aligned itself with oppressive forces, sacrificing human rights and justice for political expediency.
