Moroccan Journalist Dounia Filali Extends Congratulations to Algerian People on Independence Day, Expresses Hopes for Morocco’s Independence

ALGIERS- In a heartfelt message, renowned Moroccan opposition journalist Dounia Filali conveyed her warmest wishes and congratulations to the Algerian people on the commemoration of their 61st Independence Day. Recognized for her outspoken views, Filali emphasized the enduring bond between the Moroccan and Algerian people while expressing her hopes for the independence of Morocco from the Makhzen’s oppressive regime.
In her message, Filali expressed her heartfelt congratulations, stating, “Congratulations of love and honor to our brothers, the people of Algeria, on the occasion of Algeria’s 61st Independence Day.” This genuine display of solidarity between neighboring countries showcases the deep-rooted connections that have united Moroccans and Algerians throughout history.
However, alongside her celebratory message, Filali also took the opportunity to address her concerns about the current situation in Morocco. She openly voiced her desire for Morocco to gain independence from the occupation of the tyrannical Alaoui family, supported by some French circles.
The bond between the Moroccan and Algerian people extends beyond mere geographical proximity; it has deep historical and cultural roots. Despite political differences, countless individuals from both countries maintain close personal relationships that have withstood the test of time.
