Morocco: Condemnation of Makhzen’s Silencing of Opponents of Normalization, Genocide in Gaza

ALGIERS- The Moroccan “Democratic Way” party expressed deep concern over the Makhzen’s persuit of 13 activists from the Moroccan Front to Support Palestine and Oppose Normalization, following their participation in a solidarity stand with the Palestinian people in front of a Carrefour store in the city of Salé.
In a statement issued by its political office, the party affirmed its full solidarity with the activists of the Front, denouncing the legal pursuits against them for their participation in peaceful protests.
The party considered these malicious pursuits to be directed against all components of the Front and against all free voices condemning all forms of normalization with the Zionist entity. It condemned arbitrary measures aimed at silencing those opposing the genocide in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing perpetrated against the Palestinian people.
The party condemned all unconstitutional and unlawful pursuits restricting public freedoms and the right to peaceful protest and freedom of expression.
It warned against the violations and constraints imposed on the Front and its activists, reaffirming its condemnation of the genocide in Gaza and its opposition to all forms of normalization with the criminal entity in support of the Palestinian people’s struggle for liberation, the establishment of their independent state with El Quds as its capital, the return of all refugees, and the release of all female and male prisoners.
