Morocco’s Anti-Normalization Front Applauds Iran’s “Brave and Just Response,” Deeming it “Legitimate Self-defense”

ALGIERS- In response to the recent military action undertaken by the Iranian army against the Zionist entity, the “Moroccan Front to Support Palestine and Oppose Normalization” has voiced its support, hailing it as a “brave response” and a manifestation of “legitimate self-defense.” Through a statement issued by its national secretariat, the Front commended Iran’s actions, particularly in light of the Zionist aggression against Iran’s consulate in Syria, which went uncondemned by the international community and the UN Security Council.
The Front strongly criticized the assistance provided by American, British, and French military assets stationed in the region to aid the Zionist entity in intercepting and neutralizing Iranian drones and missiles. This collaboration, facilitated by certain Arab regimes, was condemned as complicit in perpetuating the cycle of violence and oppression against the Palestinian cause.
Additionally, the Front highlighted its opposition to Morocco’s normalization of relations with the Zionist entity, citing ongoing repression and targeting of individuals expressing dissent. The recent arrests of Said Boukioud, Abdelrahmane Zankad, and Mustafa Dakar for their vocal opposition to normalization were cited as examples. Moreover, the Front noted the harassment and targeting of its own members, including Boukhari Al-Wankhari, Tayeb Madhmadh, and Abdelillah Benabdessalam, by Moroccan authorities. It further lamented the suppression of peaceful demonstrations organized by the Front, emphasizing the broader challenges faced by activists advocating for Palestinian rights within Morocco.
