Morocco’s Makhzen Orchestrates a Fictitious Abduction: A Desperate Attempt to Distract from Diplomatic Failures

This deliberate obfuscation, widely orchestrated by the Makhzen’s security forces, aims to serve multiple strategic goals, most notably fabricating crises to distract from Morocco’s deepening diplomatic failures and internal unrest.

Over the past few years, the conduct of so-called “opposition” figures, particularly those abroad, has grown increasingly aligned with Morocco’s subversive agenda. These individuals, many of whom have openly turned against their homeland, now act as pawns in the hands of hostile foreign entities, further betraying Algeria under the guise of fluctuating, ill-defined slogans. The sudden “disappearance” of (H.A) is nothing more than a premeditated move by Moroccan intelligence to serve the following objectives:

1. Manufacturing Diplomatic Strife with Spain
Morocco, through its intelligence chief Abdellatif Hammouchi, seeks to create a rift between Algeria and Spain, an attempt to stir tensions in an already complex geopolitical landscape. This staged disappearance serves as a distraction tactic to provoke a new diplomatic crisis.

2. Mobilizing International Human Rights Organizations Against Algeria
By fabricating a poorly conceived narrative of abduction, Morocco’s intelligence services aim to rally European and international human rights organizations against Algeria. The plan is to tarnish Algeria’s global image and shift attention away from the real issue at hand: Morocco’s ongoing failure on the international stage.

3. Covering Up Morocco’s Diplomatic Defeats
This fabricated incident coincides suspiciously with Morocco’s recent setbacks, particularly the European Court’s ruling, which dealt a significant blow to the Makhzen’s diplomatic machinery. The court’s decision reinforced the legitimacy of the Sahrawi cause, further isolating Morocco in the international arena. The concocted narrative of (H.A)’s abduction is a smokescreen to divert media and political attention from this damaging ruling.

4. Undermining the UN’s Western Sahara Resolution
Morocco’s intelligence plot also seeks to overshadow the recent resolution by the UN’s Fourth Committee on Decolonization, which reaffirmed Western Sahara’s status as a decolonization issue. The resolution places Morocco in the position of an occupying force—a fact that even Morocco did not contest. This calculated distraction aims to drown out the international consensus on Morocco’s illegal occupation of Western Sahara.

5. Diverting Attention from the Internal Crisis Surrounding King Mohammed VI’s Health
The Makhzen is facing mounting internal pressure due to King Mohammed VI’s deteriorating health, coupled with escalating tensions around the royal succession. By deflecting attention onto a fabricated external incident, the regime seeks to quell growing domestic unrest and distract from the internal power struggle within the monarchy.

It is imperative to question what Algeria stands to gain from this so-called abduction. The answer is clear: nothing. The individual at the center of this fabricated incident holds no significant sway in Algeria’s political or media landscape. His actions amount to nothing more than sensationalist noise, devoid of any meaningful impact or influence within the country. If such an abduction were to occur, it would serve as nothing more than a burden, lacking any strategic advantage for Algeria.

True Opposition vs. Manufactured Betrayal

A genuine opposition movement holds a principled stance against the governing authority, offering a clear vision for managing the state’s affairs and the public good. Such opposition is characterized by constructive criticism, grounded in a project for societal advancement that does not harm the nation or its core interests. Real opposition seeks to create a balanced and ethical discourse, aimed at contributing to the country’s betterment.

Conversely, aligning with hostile foreign entities under the guise of opposition is nothing more than betrayal. Those who engage in such acts, no matter their reasoning, are ensnared in a web of treachery. Ultimately, this path leads only to failure and the complete erosion of credibility.

In conclusion, Morocco’s Makhzen continues to employ deceptive tactics to deflect from its diplomatic defeats and internal crises. The international community must remain vigilant, discerning the truth from the fabricated distractions orchestrated by Moroccan intelligence, which seeks to manipulate global perception for its gain. Algeria, steadfast in its principles, will not be drawn into the Makhzen’s web of deceit, as it remains focused on its higher national interests and the broader regional stability.
