Algiers, January 25, 2024 – Yanis Lounes, the head of the Motrio brand, revealed that the lubrication and review process for Renault diesel cars would start at 5,200 Algerian Dinars, and 3,800 Dinars for cars equipped with gasoline engines.

During the press conference held today, Thursday, Lounes stated that these prices would be effective from February 4, 2024. According to the spokesperson, the approval process for car spare parts before being adopted by Motrio Algeria goes through several stages to ensure efficiency and quality.

Lounes disclosed that a package of 100% Algerian car spare parts, compliant with Renault Dacia standards, is currently under development. These parts aim to contribute to the company’s commitment to offering a range of Algerian-manufactured components.

During the official launch of Motrio Algeria, a subsidiary of the Renault Group, the executive mentioned that the Algerian partners for the brand are Fabcom Dedax Total.

The company has allocated a budget of 2 billion Dinars, the spokesperson added, to provide more cost-effective spare parts and enhance the car repair network. He emphasized that the average lifespan of Renault Dacia cars in Algeria is 8 years.

This move by Renault Algeria to introduce locally manufactured parts signifies a significant step in aligning with local production capabilities and promoting self-sufficiency in the automotive sector. The initiative not only contributes to the economic development of the country but also enhances the accessibility of affordable spare parts for Renault vehicle owners in Algeria.
