He pointed to Algeria’s decision to recall its ambassador from Paris as a significant response reflecting the deteriorating state of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Scathing Critique of the Paris Olympics

Bounif also turned his critical lens on France’s handling of the Paris Olympics, describing the event as plagued by logistical failures and controversies. He cited reports of rodent infestations in Olympic venues and substandard accommodations, attributing these issues to France’s failure to manage the event effectively.

Bounif further criticized the opening ceremony, denouncing it as insensitive and controversial. He highlighted that the event included elements deemed inappropriate by various commentators, such as provocative drag performances and a contentious depiction of religious imagery, specifically a portrayal of the Last Supper of Jesus Christ featuring drag shows and homosexual themes. Bounif stressed that these contentious aspects reflected poorly on the event’s organization and undermined France’s ability to host such a prestigious international gathering.
