ALGIERS- In a recent development, Mr. Abdelkader Chafi, who assumed the position of Director General at the state-owned enterprise NAFTAL in October 2022, has officially stepped down from his role. The transition in leadership was announced on Sunday, marking the conclusion of Mr. Chafi’s tenure at the helm of the prominent Algerian company.
Taking over the reins is Mr. Djamel Cherdoud, who previously served as the Director of Communication and Public Relations within the organization. His appointment comes at a crucial juncture for NAFTAL, a key player in Algeria’s energy sector.
