ALGIERS– On the momentous occasion of the National Day of the Mujahid, a date steeped in the valorous history of Algeria, a gathering of unparalleled significance transpired on August 19, 2023 AD, coinciding with Safar 03, 1445 AH. In a remarkable display of unity and purpose, over 1,300 distinguished Algerian figures, emblematic of the nation’s political, societal, and religious echelons, converged within the stately confines of the Conference Palace Abdel Latif Rahal in Algiers. This historic congregation bore the appellation of the “National Cohesion Initiative,” signifying a collective commitment to forge an unbreakable bond that transcends differences and to cement a future fortified with promise and security.

In this hallowed convocation, the resolute objective was to endorse the blueprint of a transformative national initiative—an initiative conceived to fortify the very fabric of Algerian society and ensure an unassailable foundation for the generations yet to come. This visionary undertaking, the fruit of profound deliberation and ardent aspiration, garnered fervent support from a mosaic of voices, spanning both the populace and the corridors of power. Following the symposium’s conclusion, participants have endorsed the initiative’s foundational document, accompanied by a set of recommendations that encapsulate the core of their commitment:
