National Liberation Front Party Supports President Tebboune’s Decision on Presidential Elections

ALGIERS- The Political Bureau of the National Liberation Front Party, under the leadership of Secretary-General Abdelkarim Benmbarek, convened an emergency session on 13 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to March 23, 2024, at the party’s headquarters in Hydra. The meeting addressed the latest developments in the political landscape, particularly focusing on the forthcoming presidential elections.
Following a comprehensive presentation by Secretary-General Abdelkarim Benmbarek, outlining the current political scenario and emphasizing the significance of the upcoming presidential elections, the Political Bureau engaged in extensive and thorough deliberations.
In a statement issued after the deliberations, the Political Bureau expressed satisfaction with the decision to hold the presidential elections in September. The Bureau welcomed President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decision, made within the framework of his constitutional authority, as a decisive step that underscores a steadfast commitment to upholding constitutional electoral timelines and preserving the tradition of respecting the will of the people.
Furthermore, the Political Bureau affirmed the readiness of the National Liberation Front Party to actively participate in and support this crucial electoral milestone. The party pledged to collaborate closely with all political stakeholders to ensure the success of the democratic process.
