ALGIERS- In a significant step towards promoting transparency and combating corruption, Mrs. Salima Mesrati, the President of the High Authority for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption, presided over the official ceremony for the establishment of the Algerian Network for Transparency, known as “NARACOM.”
During the ceremony held in Algiers on Tuesday, Mrs. Mesrati emphasized that the role of this network is focused on awareness, information dissemination, training, and fostering a culture of rejecting corruption by exposing its issues and crimes. She highlighted the reliability of this interactive network, considering it a united internal front in the fight against corruption.
Mrs. Mesrati further stated that the creation of the NARACOM network aims to strengthen participative democracy. It aligns with efforts to instill ethical practices in public life, emphasizing the crucial role assigned to civil society as an “active partner in this corruption prevention process.”
