ALGIERS- The Minister of Finance, Laaziz Faid, has officially appointed Mr. Lahouari Rahali as the new Chief Executive Officer of the External Bank of Algeria (BEA), replacing Mr. Lazhar Latreche, according to a statement released by the ministry on Wednesday.
During the installation ceremony, Minister Faid emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to develop and modernize the BEA, enhancing its role in financing the national economy. He called for an acceleration of various modernization projects within the BEA to meet the evolving needs of its clientele.
Mr. Rahali brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, and his appointment is expected to contribute to the further growth and success of the BEA. Under his leadership, the bank is poised to strengthen its position as a key player in Algeria’s financial sector and to better serve the interests of its customers.
