Algiers, Algeria | May 17, 2024 — The Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, announced on Thursday at the People’s National Assembly (APN) that the new exhibition palace in Algiers is slated for inauguration in September 2025, coinciding with the Intra-African Trade Fair.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune laid the first stone of the new exhibition palace in December 2022, during the opening of the 30th edition of the National Production Fair, marking the beginning of this ambitious project.
Occupying a total area of 70 hectares, the new exhibition palace will boast extensive facilities, including a large exhibition space, ample parking areas, a dedicated administration wing, and two high-standard hotels, rated at four and three stars respectively.
The new exhibition palace aims to bolster Algeria’s capacity to host major international events and stimulate economic growth by promoting trade and exports. The project’s completion will be a significant milestone in Algeria’s development of its commercial infrastructure, providing a state-of-the-art venue for future events and exhibitions.
