Niger’s Prime Minister Wraps Up Official Visit to Algiers

Algiers, Algeria | August 13th, 2024 — Niger’s Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, concluded his three-day official visit to Algeria on Tuesday evening. The visit underscored the strengthening bilateral relations between Algeria and Niger.
As he departed from Houari-Boumediene International Airport, Prime Minister Zeine was seen off by Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui. The farewell ceremony was attended by several key officials, including Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad; Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines; Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Export Promotion; and Major- General Mohamed Salah Benbicha, Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Defense, as noted in a press release from the Prime Minister’s office.
During his visit, Prime Minister Zeine and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at revitalizing Algeria-Niger cooperation. Their talks focused on enhancing bilateral ties, addressing mutual interests, and exploring new avenues for collaboration in various sectors. The visit also highlighted Niger’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with Algeria, underscoring the shared values of sovereignty, stability, and development between the two nations.
