Algiers, Algeria | February 11th, 2025 — In a significant boost to Algerian-Omani economic ties, the President of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), Abdulsalam bin Mohammad Al Murshidi, has announced active preparations to launch major investment projects in Algeria. “The groundwork is being laid for significant investments in Algeria, with an emphasis on food security and pharmaceutical industries, two key areas that hold immense strategic importance for both nations,” Al Murshidi stated, underlining the long-term vision behind Omani investments in Algeria.

President Tebboune, fully apprised of all ongoing cooperation dossiers between Algeria and the Sultanate of Oman, has unequivocally endorsed these investment initiatives, instructing the relevant institutions to facilitate their success. According to Al Murshidi, the Algerian Head of State has welcomed all forms of economic collaboration with Oman, reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to attracting high-quality foreign investments that contribute to sustainable development.

“The President of the Republic has given clear directives to ensure that all necessary conditions are met for the successful implementation of joint projects,” Al Murshidi emphasized, highlighting Algeria’s pro-business environment and its readiness to accommodate major international investors.
