On inspection visit to 3rd Military Region: Army Chief Chanegriha inaugurates several military infrastructures

ALGIERS- The fourth and last day of the visit of Army General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, to the 3rd Military Region in Béchar, was marked by the inauguration of new military infrastructure, from which the region has benefited as part of the improvement of the working and living conditions of the personnel, specified a press release from the Ministry of National Defense.
During his visit, the ANP Chief of Staff inspected several units deployed in the region. At the Center Operational Sector Bordj Akid Lotfi, Army General Said Chanegriha received an exhaustive presentation from the Commander of the Operational Sector. The presentation focused on the combat preparation of units and personnel before proceeding to the inauguration of the new headquarters of the Operational Sector. The new headquarters is equipped with modern infrastructure to ensure the best working conditions for staff.
During his visit, Army General Said Chanegriha inquired about the working and living conditions of some units of the Central Operational Sector. He urged officials to attach particular importance to human resources and to ensure the improvement of working conditions within the units through direct communication and dealing with staff concerns.
The visit to the 3rd military region was also an opportunity to inaugurate social infrastructure, including two crèches in Béchar and Tindouf. These local military infrastructures are new achievements for the personnel and their families, as part of the efforts aimed at bringing together adequate working conditions in this Southern Region, according to the press release from the ministry.
As a reminder, the General of the Army Corps, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), Saïd Chanegriha, supervised, on Wednesday, the execution of a schematic military exercise with live ammunition, at the level of the southern operational sector in Tindouf.
According to a press release from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN), relayed by national television, the exercise entitled ”Azm 2023” was carried out successfully by units of the 9th mechanized infantry battalion, supported by air forces and tactical support helicopters.
