ALGIERS- Algeria, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced its unwavering support for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 World Cup. This endorsement adds Algeria’s voice to a chorus of at least sixty-five other nations that will vote in favor of the Saudi proposal.
Saudi Arabia has garnered significant new backing in its quest to host the 2034 World Cup.
In its official press release, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its firm belief that Saudi Arabia possesses all the necessary resources and capabilities to ensure the resounding success of this tournament. As a candidate for sole hosting rights, following two editions (2026 and 2030) held across two continents for one and three respectively, Saudi Arabia finds itself in a prime position to secure the organization of the 2034 edition, in line with FIFA’s principle of rotation. Notably, with CONMEBOL, UEFA, and CAF having already secured hosting rights for matches in the 2026 and 2030 editions, Saudi Arabia appears to have a clear path paved for the 2034 edition.
By extending its support, Algeria reinforces the growing confidence in Saudi Arabia’s ability to deliver an exceptional World Cup experience.
