Algiers, Algeria | October 24th, 2024 — In a notable advancement for Algeria’s housing sector, Minister of Housing Tarek Belaribi announced that more than 1,024,342 individuals have been provisionally accepted into the highly anticipated “AADL3” housing program. This significant update was delivered during a recent session before the Finance Committee of the People’s National Assembly.
Belaribi detailed the registration process, revealing that a total of 1,440,000 applicants had initially registered through the digital platform dedicated to the “AADL3” initiative. A preliminary review of these submissions uncovered over 23,000 duplicate entries within the primary database, underscoring the importance of rigorous verification procedures to maintain the program’s integrity.
Further examination of the national housing card database identified 25,379 cases with positive matches, alongside 1,863 entries linked to the General Directorate of National Property. These findings highlight the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in the housing allocation process.
The minister stressed that the “AADL3” program is designed to meet the urgent housing needs of Algerians, while also promoting an efficient, digitally-driven registration system. In a key update, Belaribi confirmed that the selection of appropriate land for the housing developments has been completed, with approximately 7,000 hectares now allocated for construction. This strategic step will ensure the timely development of new housing units, aligning with the government’s broader objective of enhancing living standards across the country.
As a vital part of Algeria’s initiative to increase access to affordable housing, the “AADL3” program continues to attract attention. The Ministry of Housing remains committed to streamlining processes and ensuring that the country’s housing needs are met effectively. Belaribi’s remarks reflect a forward-looking strategy aimed at addressing the current housing shortages and establishing a more organized and transparent system for the allocation of homes, positioning “AADL3” as a key pillar of Algeria’s housing policy.
